One response to “What’s That I Spell?”

  1. Anthony D. says:

Every one of these (except for cemetery (all vowels are ‘e’) kills me when I have to write them. To my surprise, I managed 9/10, only falling down on accommodate (yes, ‘cc’ and ‘mm’), but it’s easier when one can look at the choices, I think.

No amount of memorizing seems to help these days. I think that, to some degree, typing instead of writing is responsible: there’s a tactile muscle memory from writing days that’s lost with typing – if what I do on a keyboard can be called typing, likely making correct spelling more of a challenge, not to mention the temptation to right click the mouse.

Anyway, thanks for an enjoyable challenge!
